Coming back to gratitude

There is something so special about seeing something I am so familiar with, something I see every day (and yes, take for granted, even though I try not to) through someone else's eyes.. Another lens.
Farm life is not for sissies. All you city folk who think we are out here in the sticks just living our best lives, are wrong! (well partly anyway) It's hard! They don't put disease and fire, broken gates and injured animals, mending fences, deluges of water washing away 100s cabbages and being on duty every day- every.single.day- on the brochure. So it's easy to start to see only the work that needs to be done, the endless grass cutting and removal of invaders, the maintenance and repairs, the move-this and put-that-there, the Oh!-I-mustn't-forget as I leave for the daily school run.
And then, at the end of another busy week, the universe sends me someone who reminds me of how blessed I am (which in itself is a blessing right?!?) and order is restored, and I see again the paradise in which I am blessed to live.
Thank you so much Andy and Sonja, and thank you so much for the beautiful pictures @Andy
